Rose Janorschke, 98 year old resident of Buckman, MN passed away Sunday, July 9 2023 at the Pierz Villa in Pierz, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 21, 2023 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman, MN with Father Aaron Nett officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Michael's Parish Cemetery in Buckman, MN. A visitation will take place from 4-8 P.M. on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Pierz, MN and from 10-11 A.M. on Friday, July 21, 2023 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman, MN. Caring for Rose and her family is the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Pierz, MN. Rose was born on June 9, 1925 in Buckman, Minnesota to the late Philip and Mary (Faulhaber) Geschwill. She grew up in the Buckman, MN area and attended District 56 Country School. Rose was united in marriage to Alvin Janorschke, Sr. on June 5, 1945 in Buckman, MN. They cherished 73 beautiful years of marriage as a couple. Together they raised 11 children, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rose worked alongside her husband all her working years helping him operate and run the family farm in the Buckman area. She also did some traveling, which included a trip to Nashville, Florida, and Oregon. Some of her favorite past enjoyments included fishing, playing cards, and bingo. She was a lifelong member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Buckman and St. Michael’s Christian Women. Rose will forever be remembered for her famous apple pies and her caring nature to ensure all those around her were included in on the fun that was always happening. Rose was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Rose is survived by children, Cheryl (Stanley) Czech, Janice Janorschke, Robert (Janice) Janorschke, Celeste Wiersgalla, Diane Zalasin, Marise (Rob) Wilhelm, Annette (Steve) Babich, Joan (Mark) Novak, David Janorschke, and Christi Janorschke; 24 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Mary Geschwill; husband, Alvin Janorschke Sr.; son, Alvin Janorschke, Jr; grandchildren, Sheldon Novak, Amber Novak, Mitchell Strempke, Collin Strempke, Skylar Zalasin, Jared Hoheisel, Linda Alderman; great-grandson, Jameson Hoheisel-Raper; sons-in-law, Dwight Wiersgalla and Steve Zalasin; siblings, Ann, John, Marie, Amelia, Julia, Ceil, Philip, and Frances.
